That mission \u2013 to bring joy to children in his community and achieve his dream of becoming an Eagle Scout.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s been my goal since I was 5-years-old,\u201d Life Scout Garret B. shared with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kswo.com\/story\/38406167\/life-scouts-eagle-project-focuses-on-showing-east-texas-kids-theyre-cared-for\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KSWO ABC 7 News<\/a>. \u201cTo be an Eagle Scout, and that\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to accomplish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Scout is spearheading a project in which he is creating \u201cblessing bags\u201d filled with toys, snacks, books and other gifts for kids attending a local camp in his Tyler, Texas, community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bags aren\u2019t going to change anyone\u2019s life,\u201d he humbly remarked. \u201cBut we really want to show kids, ya know, they\u2019re special, and that people are thinking about them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garret was inspired to develop the project after he served on mission trips with his church.
