These Scouters are ready to dive into their new roles, and we can’t wait to see all the great ways they’ll work to serve our youth. Cub Scouts
Anthony Berger will serve as the Cub Scouting National Director. Anthony is currently serving as Scout executive of the Chattahoochee Council in Columbus, Georgia. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.
Anthony and his wife, Robin, have two children: Joshua, who is 13 and a First Class Scout, and Elizabeth, who is 10 and enjoys playing the piano.
Boy Scouts
Garfield Murden will serve as the Boy Scouting National Director. Garfield is currently serving as the Senior Boy Scouting Specialist at the National Service Center. He is a NESA member and Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow.
Garfield and his wife, Megan, have two children: Taylor, who is a rising college freshman at Johnson & Wales University, and Sydney, who enjoys spending quality time with family.
Venturing
Owen McCulloch will serve as the Venturing National Director. He is currently serving as a Corporate Partnerships Manager over Properties and Program at the National Service Center. He is an Eagle Scout and is an active unit leader in a pack, troop, and crew.
Owen and his wife, Julia, have three children: Maggie, who is currently on the Summit Bechtel Reserve summer staff and is a rising college freshman at the University of North Texas; Colleen, who is 15 and attending both NAYLE and a STEM trek at Philmont this summer; and Declan, who is 11 and is a new Boy Scout having just completed his first camp experience.
