Congratulations to Dan Bettison, who will serve as Scout executive of the Ohio River Valley Council in Wheeling, West Virginia, effective January 1, 2019.
Dan began his Scouting career as district executive at the Dan Beard Council in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved on to become the senior district executive and later field director with the Chicago Area Council in Chicago, Illinois. He also served as field director of the Northwest Suburban Council in Mt. Prospect, Illinois until his promotion to Scout executive of Chief Okemos Council in Lansing, Michigan. From there, Dan moved on to become the assistant director of field service for the Three Harbors Council in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and then field director for the Three Fires Council in St. Charles, Illinois.
Dan is an Eagle Scout who enjoys fishing, canoeing, and skiing.
Dan and his wife Bonnie have 2 children, daughter Jordan and son Josh.
