Dear Trail of Tears Leaders, Volunteers and Parents

What a great time to be in Rutherford and Cannon Counties as Scouting is truly booming in this area. At this time of year it is such an inspiration to see the new families join the Scouting programs; to what is already an awesome group of leaders, parents and friends as new and old families continue to make everlasting memories in Scouting. The Trail of Tears District is the premiere Scouting District of the Middle Tennessee Council and is all due to the Leadership, Passion, Drive and Resources given by YOU the Volunteers. I want to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of it and have the opportunity to serve you as your District Executive.

As some of you may know I have taken on a new role in the Middle Tennessee Council and will be the Middle Tennessee Council Camping Director as of November 1 2017. I will not be far, I’ll still be at the office, in Rutherford County, and more than ever out at Boxwell Scout Reservation. The Middle Tennessee Council is working to fill the position and will have the position filled and in place before Nov 1 so there will not be a hiccups in the District.

I want to say Thank You to all the Leaders, Volunteers, Parents and Friends in these communities for all your hard work, countless hours, passion, and leadership you give for our youth in the Scouting program. As it is YOU ALL that is changing the future of our communities, leaders and Nation. So don’t stop now as we have still need to make a difference in the life of our youth. As Scouting not only affects the youth but the families and community as we grow stronger together in Scouting movement. Thank you so much for all that you do. I will see you on the Trail as this District will continue to BE AWESOME.

Thank you for the opportunity to server you as your District Executive of THE Trail of Tears District
