Hope your new year is beginning well. Here are the handouts from the September 1 District Roundtable. Roundtables are the first Thursday of each month at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 315 East Main Street, Murfreesboro at 7 p.m. We have refreshments at 6:30 p.m. It is a great way to meet other Scout leaders, network, and get the scoop on everything happening in the District. We publish a video a week prior to roundtable. If you haven’t seen them yet, they are well worth watching. Go to YouTube and search for Trail of Tears Scouting channel. Please watch, and subscribe to our channel.
The October roundtable will be an open house type setting. Each of our District areas (camping, advancements, training, Venturing, Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, activities, etc) will have a station set up for you to meet them and if you’re interested in that area, join that team. The Chairs of each area are the ones that are in charge of putting on training, events, camporees, etc. The more adult volunteers we have the more our District can accomplish. We currently have a need for a Finance chair and a Membership Chair, but each chair can always use help on their teams. If you are interested in being the Finance Chair or Membership Chair – please contact Jerrod Ervin (jerrod.ervin) or you can talk with him at the October Roundtable. This is the roundtable we would like you to invite all your new adults to – so they can see what happens in the district and they can meet other leaders. We will have some trainings at the November roundtable. That will be announced at the October roundtable as well.
